Ivory Park man found shot dead in car, boy (3) wounded

A man, believed to be in his 40s, was killed and a three-year-old injured this morning (Thursday) following a shooting outside a residence on Moagi Street in Ivory Park, Tembisa.

Russel Meiring of ER24 said ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 6.40am, finding local authorities and the provincial services already in attendance.

“Upon closer inspection, paramedics found a vehicle parked in the road outside a residence. The body of a man, believed to be in his 40s, was found lying in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. Paramedics assessed the man and found he had sustained a fatal gunshot wound,” Meiring said.

“A short time later, ER24 paramedics were led into the house where a second patient was found. Assessments showed that a three-year-old boy had sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. Paramedics treated the boy before he was transported to hospital.”
