Con Amore hosts autism awareness event

Organisers of the event, Ansie Gildenhuys and Adriana Janse van Rensburg, said they wanted to introduce the public and broader community to the school’s Autism Phase and create awareness around autism and its increase among people worldwide.

In commemorating the month of Autism Awareness, the autism phase of Con Amore School hosted a morning get together on April 16.

Parents and community members attended the breakfast.

Mike Olckers was the guest speaker at the event.

Olckers is living with autism and spoke about the history of the condition.
