Allen Park holds its annual fête on May 5

Allen Park will host its annual fête on May 5 from 8am to 2pm at the centre on Cactus Street in Allen Grove.

This year’s event includes a breakfast, plenty of stalls, live entertainment, pony rides and a jumping castle.

Residents are urged to book for the breakfast, which costs R30. Call Sarie Scheepers on 011 972 4220 or 074 080 8202.

Stalls include homemade items, arts and crafts, food, potjiekos, curry and rice, jaffles, pancakes, waffles, plaatkoekies and more. Those who still want to book a stall can call Scheepers.

Heidi, Die Ventertjies, and Sonja and Matt Stern will take care of the live entertainment.

Allen Park has also published a recipe book with potjiekos recipes. This book at R30 will be available at the potjiekos stall.
