Tembisa crèches showcased their talent at the Tembisa Nursery School Competition at Rabasotho hall on April 13.
The five Tembisa crèches registered to participate in the competition were Faith and Growth Daycare Centre, Nyeleti Daycare Centre, Now Generation Edu-care, Abundant Crèche and Masakhane Daycare Centre.
Atleha Champions Club founder Dikeledi Ranoto said the participants were between the ages of four and six years and the crèches had gathered to compete based on their curriculum that included shapes, colors, puzzles etc.
“The crèches were excited about the competition.
“Rand Water together with their water-wise team had come with a puppet show in order to teach children on how to be water-wise at their age.

“At the end of the competition, all the children received educational books, CDs, bottles, posters sponsored by Rand Water, medals and a beautiful trophy sponsored by House Of Champions Randburg. They were also presented with certificates by Atleha Champions Club,” said Ranoto.
She said the schools were judged on consistency and interaction among children and their teachers.
Masakhane Daycare Centre won first place.
The Atleha Champions Club would like to thank all the sponsors who assisted in making the event a great success.
“We are looking forward to engaging with more crèches around Tembisa and giving them a chance to participate in the competition. This year our aim is to educate children on how to be water-wise because they have great potential for having a positive impact and contribute to change. We are proud to say that our participants are water-wise through the help of their awesome teachers. We are looking forward to receiving support from different stakeholders so that we can have greater impact through our programmes,” said Ranoto.
The event was sponsored by Wheelz n Smoke, Ahiloseni (Pty) Ltd, NC Ntewukeni Attorneys, Rand Water, House of Champions, Bethesda Intercession Church and Dr Brian Makine.
“We appreciate your commitment and support in ensuring the success of our exciting journey.
“If you would like your crèche to be part of our journey or you would like your child to be part of this programme, please contact Dikeledi Ranoto on 073 874 1774 or send an email to admin@atlehacc.co.za,” the founder explained.
