Department of Social Development beneficiary Shaun Kacheche with Relebohile Mahabane from the Department of Social Development. Kacheche spoke about how he was a troubled teenager to inspire the teens.

In an effort to tackle crime and encourage young people not to become victims of crime, the Kempton Park police Social Crime Prevention Unit, along with Youth against Crime, embarked on a crime prevention sporting initiative.

Various speakers, including speaker of parliament Baleka Mbete, addressed the young people who attended the event held at Sir Pierre van Ryneveld High School.

The event was held on May 5.

Young people took part in soccer and netball matches on the day.
