School boys reveal their dagga suppliers, three arrested

The SAPS warns dagga suppliers to stop selling to school children.

The Tembisa Social Crime Prevention, Corporate Communication Officers, EMPD, EMPD Wardens, CPF, Patrollers and the Youth Desk conducted a school search at one of the secondary schools in Tembisa on May 9.

Rabie Ridge corporate communications officer Captain Mofana Masela said the station commander, Brigadier Vuyokazi Ndebele, warned criminals who are using school children to accomplish their unlawful businesses to watch out as police are on their track.

“This happened after two boys were found in possession of dagga on the school premises during a search.

“The boys further informed the police where they are getting the dagga.

“A 34-year-old male from Madelakufa squatter camp and two suspects, a 27-year-old and 37-year-old, from Phumasilwe squatter camp were also arrested,” said Masela.

All three suspects were detained at the Tembisa police cells and had appeared before the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court on charges of possession of dagga.
