Taal-Net CEO scoops big awards

The group, which has its head office in Kempton Park, is recognised as a shining example of the business of education.

Justin Magidi of Kempton Park swept the boards at the 2018 Zimbabwe Excellence Awards ceremony in Cape Town, winning both the male entrepreneur of the year award and his Taal-Net Group of Schools came first in the prestigious business organisation of the year award.

The annual event seeks to recognise and acknowledge individuals and businesses that are flying the Zimbabwean and South African flags high, and are also working in assisting communities in South Africa and beyond through various initiatives in industries such as media, academic, businesses, arts and entertainment.

The awards seek to appreciate those individuals and businesses, encourage and motivate them to continue with a culture of success as they remain a source of inspiration to everyone and the community at large.

Magidi, who is the CEO of Taal-Net Group of Schools, told guests in his acceptance speech that while he was as much surprised at his double triumph, given that this was a first time nomination, winning both awards would serve as testimony to years of hard work which he had put into the Taal-Net Group of Schools. The group, which has its head office in Kempton Park, is recognised as a shining example of the business of education and a brand with a good story to tell.

“Our vision is to become the best academic institution in the world. The school is there to create a learning environment that seeks high expectations for success, skills and character development necessary to optimise students’ full potential to become builders of their future and stewards of our world,” said Magidi.
