Community members become ‘whistle-blowers’

Tembisa South SAPS join hands with community in fighting crime.

Members of Tembisa South SAPS, Community Policing Forum (CPF) and community members from Ibaxa Section and Isivanna Section met at Nyiko Primary School to address issues of crime.

Tembisa South SAPS communications officer Captain Neldah Sekgobela said the community was advised to participate in the sector forum committees in order to fight crime together with the police.

“Some community members complained about house robberies which are usually taking place in their areas and requested whistles in order to notify people around whenever they are attacked by criminals,” said Sekgobela.

Whistles were distributed to community members to blow them whenever they encounter criminal activities.
