Spice up your food and raise funds for Amy’s eye operation
R20 of the sale will go towards Amy Botha’s (19) shunt fund
When a local business read about Amy Botha (19), an Allen Grove resident with a rare brain disease that might leave her blind, they knew they had to help.
So, A&G Foods, who specialises in quality spices and soya, have put together a Help-Amy-get-a-shunt five pack of spices.

For each R80-pack sold, R20 will go towards Amy’s cause. She needs to raise R250 000 for a shunt that will drain spinal fluid pressing on her brain. When Express spoke to Amy’s mother Natasjha earlier this month, she confirmed the funds are sitting at only R17 200.

“We have spoken to Natasjha,” marketer for the company Amelia de Beer told Express. “We are also trying to get a few local schools involved to help with this fund-raising event for Amy.”
So, why not spice up your life? It will be for a good cause.
