Businessman reaches out to disadvantaged learners at Moduopo

Musi is a local businessman and owns T-Exclusive Boutique in Mega Mart Shopping Centre.

A former student of Moduopo Primary School, Tshepo Musi brings back pride to the school when he reached out to 19 needy learners.

Musi is a local businessman and owns T-Exclusive Boutique in Mega Mart Shopping Centre. He has donated 19 pairs of new school shoes to the neediest learners of Moduopo.

He said the donation is just an effort to help his former primary school, which has done a lot to build the person that he is today.

“I am just happy that I am still able to plough back to the community that raised me. I know Tembisa and I know that there are poor families who can’t afford to buy a full uniform for their children. There are many children who are orphans and some are abandoned. With this donation, I just want to close that little gap for them not to stress much about school shoes,” added Musi.

For over 13 years now, Musi has been reaching out to needy learners and donated school shoes to both primary and secondary schools around Ekazi. Moduopo Primary School deputy principal, Maleshoane Tsoku, said the donation came in handy especially since it is winter season.

“We are very proud of Musi to remember the school, and especially to recognise the needy learners because we most needed the shoes. His donation humbles our hearts and we are happy that he is making it. It is not everyone who can spend their monies on the people that they do not know or are related to,” added Tsoku.

Tsoku said the donation will help improve the children’s confidence around others and certainly with their academic results.
