Police need to find accident victim’s family
A culpable homicide case is currently under investigation.
Kempton Park detectives need the assistance of the community to locate the next of kin of a man who was killed on Atlas Road in August.
Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS, said the deceased was identified as Nunu Sanbonani Mabusa through fingerprints.
It was also established he resided in Payneville Informal Settlement in Springs.
“The deceased was knocked down by a vehicle, which failed to stop, on Atlas Road on August 1 at about 11.30pm. He was taken to Tembisa Hospital with severe head injuries where he apparently gave his name as Julius Moyana. He died on August 6,” Mtshali said.
A culpable homicide case is currently under investigation. If the body is not claimed by his family, he will be given a pauper’s burial.
