Ilanga Youth Dance Co is a youth development company using dance to create skills and contribute to local society.
Ilanga will be hosting a bi-annual showcase of youth dance at the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace on October 31 at 7pm.
The event is focused on giving local dancers opportunities to perform while raising funds for much-needed improvements to their studio venues, a bursary fund for deserving local dancers, and the training of teachers from local communities.
Different dance styles that will be featured are ballet, modern theatre dance, contemporary dance, national/folk dance, and Spanish dance.
