Female passenger killed in accident on the R21

A woman was killed on the R21 on Sunday when the car in which she was a passenger, overturned.

Shawn Herbst, spokesperson for Netcare 911, said the accident happened just after noon near Witfontein.

“Reports from the scene indicated that the driver lost control resulting in the rollover. An adult male, believed to be the driver, sustained moderate injuries,” Herbst said.

The woman who died was seated on the back seat. Another woman on the front passenger seat sustained serious injuries.

The patients were treated on scene and transported to hospital for further treatment.
