Eskom has started implementing stage 1 rotational load shedding at 12.15pm today (Sunday).
It is likely to continue until 10pm to preserve emergency resources. Customers are reminded to treat all electrical points as live during loadshedding, Eskom said on Sunday.
“We continue to appeal to residents and businesses to use electricity sparingly during this period. Please switch off geysers as well as all non-essential lighting and electricity appliances to assist in reducing demand,” Eskom said in a statement.
Here is the schedule for Kempton Park for Sunday:
12.30pm to 3.30pm: Kempton Park CBD, Kempton Part Extensions, Croydon, Cresslawn, Rhodesfield, Kelvin Estate and Esther Park
3pm to 6pm: Birchleigh, Birchleigh North, Glen Erasmia, Kaalfontein, Esselen Park and Esselen Park Extensions
