Tembisa musician nominated for an award
Tembisa lad to shine at Live Your Dream SA Youth Awards.
Tembisa musician Thato Kamogelo Mosena has been nominated at the Live Your Dream SA Youth Awards as the Best Upcoming Artist.
Thato, also known as T_Roy, said he is the only artist representing Tembisa at these awards and all he needs is support from Tembisa residents to help him bring the award home.

T_Roy said he started rapping at the age of nine, being influenced by his friend who was also a rap artist at that time.
“My friend saw potential in me and started writing music for me until 2012.
“When my friend moved to another town I started writing my own lyrics because rap music was in my blood by that time,” T_Roy explained.
He said he got his stage name from his grandfather who was a chorister and he released his first two songs (Ha Monate So and Out of my Mind) under that name in 2013.
“In January 2018 I released a hit song titled No Chance.
“The song went viral and I gained a number of fans.
“I was the youngest artist to be nominated at Limpopo local awards and I am now nominated by Live Your Dream SA Youth Awards.
“In 2016 I was the artist of the week in Rap Type Mag,” T_Roy said proudly.
He said his first radio interview was with Dipsloot FM on March 5, 2016. He feels privileged to have shared a stage with two of the biggest artists in SA, Nadia Nakai and DJ Shimza, on September 1 at the 1632 Music Launch.
