New services at Kempton Park Child Welfare
Kempton Park Child Welfare now offers ECD and aftercare services.
Child Welfare Kempton Park experienced a tough year financially and like most non-profit organisations, held many fund-raising events in an attempt to inject money into the organisation.
As a result, there are two new developments that were established in an attempt to keep the organisation’s doors open.
The organisation opened an Early Childhood Development Centre on September 1. The crèche takes children up to five years.
The fees vary and registration will open in January 2019. The centre will only take 20 children and it will be on a first come first served basis.
The aftercare centre, which started on August 1, is the other development. Through this, the organisation assists children mainly with homework after school.
There is a library with a variety of children’s toys and books that can be used for reading and colouring-in under the supervision of qualified staff.
The aftercare operates from 2pm to 5.30pm latest.
The aftercare services are also available to primary and high school learners who require additional support in certain subjects.
