Husky wedged under car reunited with its owner

Both animals were taken to Mercury Street Veterinary Hospital, where Boksburg SPCA fetched them

Paramedics came to the rescue of a husky wedged underneath a car on Atlas Road on Tuesday.

“See, the medics don’t just save humans, animals also. Well done people,” was the comment of Allison Williams on ER24’s Facebook page after the incident.

Her sentiment was echoed by many others.

ER24 paramedics stopped to assist a man who was trying to coax the animal out from underneath his vehicle. Apparently, the two huskies were in the road and the motorist had stopped to help them to the side, when one of them hid under his car and wouldn’t come out.

The medics and people from both TAG and Mercury Street Veterinary Hospital in Benoni chipped in to lift the car and rescue the frightened dog.

Both animals were taken to Mercury Street Veterinary Hospital, and Boksburg SPCA fetched them shortly thereafter.

According to Boksburg SPCA both dogs were claimed by their owners on Thursday morning.
