Revellers enjoy themselves at Sebola festival
Sebola Christmas Festival proves to be the best among the rest.
Revellers had a whale of a time at the first annual Sebola Christmas Festival at the Dries Niemandt Picnic Park in Kempton Park on December 1.
Scores of music lovers enjoyed the performances of artists who honoured the invitation – and this was despite the change of venue.
Sebola Productions’ public relations officer Sfiso Mkhwanazi said logistical challenges led to some of the artists not performing.
“We had nine days to market the event due to the change of venue.
“We appreciate the efforts of all the people who took their time to inquire about the change of venue.

“Our supporters were pleased. There was transport organised for them to and from Dries Niemandt Picnic Park in Kempton Park,” Mkhwanazi said.
“We would like to acknowledge that the changes caused a lot of inconvenience to a lot of people.
“We apologise for having to move the event from Mehlaring Stadium to Dries Niemandt Park.
“In light of the concerns, cancelling the event was an option given to us by the municipality.
“Alternatively, we considered postponing the event but were advised this would be financially impractical at such a short notice.
“This led to us reducing the artists’ line up to fit the time given to us at Dries Niemandt Picnic Park,” Mkhwanazi said.
