Grade Ones excited to start big school

Grade One learners excited to be in a big school at Phuthumane Primary School.

On January 9 children who graduated from grade R from different ECD centres started their first day of schooling at Phuthumane Primary School.

HOD foundation phase Lindiwe Thwala said they did not have the exact number of Grade One learners as the school was still continuing with the process of admitting new learners.

“These are good learners because they are not scared on their first day and they are not crying.

Luyanda Manoko and Asemahle Fonte are ready to start Grade One for 2019.

“I am expecting that they will be very cooperative which is evident from the good behaviour they are showing today,” said Thwala.

A new learner Bonga Gama (5) said she is very happy that she has passed grade R and now she is in a big school doing Grade One.

“I am not scared and I found a new friend, Aluthando Qhamngwana,” said Bonga.

Her classmate Mpho said they all love their class teacher Ma’am Thwala.
