Enter this poetry competition to win big

Calling upon all writers to enter the Poetry International 2019 poem and short story competition.

Besides the already known Regular Annual Competition, Whisper from the Heart Poetry Club is hosting a poetry and short story competition, Poetry International 2019, inviting entries internationally.

The competition is open for poems not longer than 32 lines and short stories not longer than 2 000 words. Entries need to be submitted as a word document.

Entrants stand a chance to win one of three prizes. The first is worth R5 000, the second prize worth R3 000 and the third prize worth R1 500. The winner will have their poem or short story published in The Book of Verse and Short Stories and receive a copy of the book at no extra cost.

The competition is limited to 250 entries. Entries close as soon as it hits 250 entries. The person who enters the most will be awarded a prize of R3 000.

An entry fee is payable for each entry. Entrants will need to give the club permission to include their entry in the book. Any assistance you can give to promote the completion will be sincerely appreciated and of course, you stand a chance to win the R3 000.
