WATCH: Resident ‘bumps’ into guard at boom gate, police investigate
A case of assault has been opened with Norkem Park SAPS
A case of assault is being investigated by the police after a motorist allegedly bumped into a security guard at an enclosed area in Van Riebeeck Park.
According to Super Cops’ Jaco Pottas the incident happened on January 14 around 5pm at a newly enclosed area at the boom gate at the intersection of Christoffel and Simba streets.
CCTV footage shows Super Cops security guard Albert Mokubyane (41) standing at the boom gate, facing the gate. A motorist approaches him from behind and bumps into him before driving through the gate.
The man apparently stopped once through the gate, as one can see Mokubyane waving his arms at him. The man then appears in the video, saying something to Mokubyane, who backs off.
