Tswelopele Performing Artists offer free dance classes for children

These classes will take place on February 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 8.30am to 11.30am.

Tswelopele Performing Artists (Tswepa) will offer free dance classes to children from the age of eight to 14 as part of the build-up activities to its 25th-anniversary celebration.

These classes will take place on February 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 8.30am to 11.30am at Moses Molelekwa Art Centre.

Many parents do not know where their children can go to improve their talents at an early age. This is an opportunity not to miss.

Being involved in the arts helps children process emotions and feelings they are struggling with, so they can begin to heal and restore their pride. Dance is a popular form of physical exercise and studies have shown that dancing can decrease anxiety, increase self-esteem and improve psychological well-being.

At the end of the four Saturdays’ training, parents or guardians will be invited to a presentation to watch their children going through the dance movements, after which they can register their child if they want to.

To register your child for the free dance classes, SMS or WhatsApp the following details to 083 486 6790, or call Katlego Machete on 081 259 2403:

1. Full names of child

2. Age

3. Gender

4. Full names of contact person

5. Contact number of contact person
