Road closures tonight due to annual night race

Motorists are asked to plan accordingly and exercise patience during this time

Due to the annual Arwyp Neon Nite Race hosted by Kempton Road Runners on January 30, there will be partial road closures that evening.

The race will start at Barnard Stadium at 7pm and will run through the suburbs of Edleen, Van Riebeeck Park and Spartan back to the stadium.

As a result there will be partial road closures of the following roads from around 5.30pm: CR Swart Drive from Festival Mall to Green Avenue, Kelvin Road from CR Swart Drive to Plane Road, Plane Road from CR Swart Drive to Green Avenue, De Wiekus Road from Bontebok Street to Klapper Avenue.

Motorists are asked to plan accordingly and exercise patience during this time.

There is a 15km event as well as a 5km fun run, with refreshments being sold at the venue. Residents are encouraged to bring their “glow” and come and participate.
