Here is you load shedding schedule for Tembisa for Sunday

Load shedding is expected to continue until 10pm

After two months without load shedding, Eskom has implemented stage 2 load shedding on Sunday at 1pm.

As previously, it is expected to last until 10pm. Load shedding was last implemented on December 9.

In a statement Eskom issued earlier today, the power utility said it had a shortage of capacity. There is also a need to replenish and preserve emergency water and diesel resources to limit load shedding possibility or the magnitude thereof in the coming week.

Stage 2 calls for 2000MW to be rotationally shed nationally at a given period. Load shedding is conducted rotationally as a measure of last resort to protect the power system from a total collapse or blackout.

“We continue to appeal to residents and businesses to use electricity sparingly during this period. Please switch off geysers as well as all non-essential lighting and electricity appliances to assist in reducing demand.
