Young girl dreams of becoming Miss South Africa
Ariska was invited to represent South Africa in Turkey in May.
A young girl wishes to be Miss South Africa one day, and she is well on her way to becoming one by winning big competitions.
Ariska Engelbrecht (8) of Rhodesfield made her parents Arnold (44) and Tinka (44) proud when she won first princess at the Kings and Queens of the World South Africa on February 2 and was selected to represent South Africa in Turkey in May.
“We entered her into the competition in January as a practice run, but to our surprise she won first princess,” said Arnold.
The competition took place at Protea Hotel by Marriott OR Tambo Airport.
The Laerskool Impala learner has been modelling for 11 months and wants to become Miss South Africa one day.
“Ariska also wants to be a doctor. She likes playing pretend and acting like a doctor around the house,” said Arnold.
Her hobbies are modelling and singing in the school choir at Laerskool Impala.
