Grandmother needs to find long-lost father of her grandchild

She needs a passport to take her grandchild to Lesotho

An elderly woman is appealing to the Tembisa community to help find the long-lost father of her grandchild.

Amelia Mofokeng (47) became the guardian to Lebogile Mofokeng after the death of her mother, Susan Mofokeng, on August 19, 2018. Amelia said her daughter, Susan, used to live with her in Makhulong Section, while she was still in a relationship with the father of the child.

“I wanted to get my granddaughter a passport at home affairs, but they could not help me.

“The department told me to find the father of the child because he is required to sign for the issuing of the passport.

“I would like to take my grandchild to Lesotho for the Easter holidays,” she added.

Amelia does not know the father’s name, but she believes he could still be living around Tembisa. Anyone who may possibly know the father is requested to assist by contacting Amelia on 079 544 0634 or visit the family at the address mentioned above.
