Woman (31) knocks over two streetlights on Mooirivier Drive after V-Day
Twenty-two more suspects were intoxicated on the roads over Valentine’s weekend.
It might be the month of love but that won’t stop local law enforcement from doing their jobs.
According to Capt Lesibana Molokomme, spokesperson for Norkem Park SAPS, a woman was arrested on Mooirivier Drive for driving under the influence of alcohol in the early hours of the morning after Valentine’s Day.

In the 31-year-old’s intoxicated state, she managed to knock down two streetlights.
The suspect will face charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless and negligent driving.
Her arrest was not the only one that Valentine’s weekend saw. Thanks to a joint operation between Norkem Park SAPS and the metro police, 22 suspects were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
Three more were arrested for shoplifting, two for trespassing, and one for common robbery.
