Venters from Edleen celebrate 50 happy years

Petrus (74) and Kathleen (71) Venter from Edleen celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 22.

The couple met in Johannesburg, where they both lived and dated for five years. They got married in 1969 and moved to Edleen to be closer to the then Atlas Aircraft Corporation where Petrus worked until retirement. He continued to consult for 10 more years.

Kathleen worked for various local companies in the sales and marketing sector. She continues to run a small private business from home.

The Venters still live in the same house as when they first moved to Kempton Park. They are blessed with two daughters and three grandchildren.
