Local Toastmasters win awards at contest

Another Toastmasters competition is around the corner.

The local Toastmasters group, a non-profit educational organisation, recently held a competition to test the speech skills of its members.

Marcharl Jankowitz walked away as the winner in the evaluation contest, while Ncediswa Moshoeshoe took second place.

Jankowitz also took second place in the prepared speech contest and third place in the tables topics contest.

Chairperson Johan Schoeman walked away as the winner in the tables topic contest and Moses Sinioa was second.

Dr Ian Bratt hands Marcharl Jankowitz his certificate for first place in the evaluations contest.

Schoeman was also first in the prepared speeches contest.

“Please come and support Marcharl and me in the Area i3 contest, which will be hosted by Kempton Park Toastmasters on March 16,” Schoeman said.

Residents can contact him on 084 464 7856 for more information or visit their website by searching for “Toastmasters Kempton Park”.

The club meets every first and third Saturday of each month from 8.30am until 11.30am.
