BMW driver killed in horrific accident on R25 near Serengeti

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

The driver of a BMW was killed in an accident on the R25 on Tuesday afternoon.

The collision occurred at the intersection with 9th Road, just after the turn-off to Serengeti Wildlife and Golf Estate, and also involved two trucks.

According to Gerald Groenewald of Sec Pros Security, Stephan Henderson, a Sec Pros ILS paramedic, received a call for urgent medical assistance at 5.50pm.

Upon arrival at the scene, Henderson saw two trucks and a white BMW were involved in the collision. He immediately went to the badly damaged BMW to assess the driver, but unfortunately he had succumbed to his injuries.

The two truck drivers were also assessed but did not require treatment or hospitalisation, Groenewald said.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
