Women to be empowered through conference
Women’s conference aims to help women overcome rejection and pain.
Women from different walks of life are invited to attend YANA’s one-day conference on March 23.
The conference will be held at Coen Scholtz Community Centre on Mooifontein Road in Birchleigh North.
YANA, which stands for You Are Not Alone, is a women’s ministry that aims to help women deal with different forms of rejection and pain, among other things.
“Through the ministry, we assist women to overcome rejection, divorce and other challenges we, as women, encounter in life,” said Esther Park resident, Sophie Nkadimeng, who is one of the organisers.
“We offer counselling, health and legal advice during our seminars and conferences.”
Nkadimeng also said counselling and a financial management talk are among the activities to be expected at the conference. The event’s guest speaker is Prof Dianah Magano.
The registration fee is payable at the door and includes breakfast and lunch.
