Local learner (9) rewarded R500 for kindness

This competition calls for nominations from teachers to recognise children who serve as role models to their peers and who foster a culture of love.

Aston Manor Primary learner Theto Nkoana (9) did Kempton Park proud this month when she was named a Toys R Us 2019 ambassador for her academic performance and kindness.

This competition calls for nominations from teachers across Johannesburg, Cape Town and part of KwaZulu-Natal to recognise children who serve as role models to their peers and who foster a culture of love.

“Theto is a star learner who applies herself well to all activities,” said teacher Kerry Solomons.

“She often receives over 90 per cent for formal assessment tasks and she is a good friend with a warm smile.”

Her hard work did not go unrewarded. Theto walked away with a R500 gift voucher from Toys R Us, an official certificate, cap and badge.
