Women told to face their negative feelings

Women's conference focuses on rejection and pain women face in life.

Women from all over of the country gathered for the You Are Not Alone (Yana) one-day conference on March 23.The conference, themed overcoming rejection and pain, was held at Coen Scholtz Community Centre in Birchleigh North.

Yana is a women’s ministry that aims to help women deal with different challenges, such as divorce and rejection.

“We offer counselling, health and legal advice during our seminars and conferences,” said Sophie Nkadimeng, one of the organisers.

“In order to deal with all these challenges effectively, we need to find the root, otherwise they will keep creeping up on us,” said Magano.

“Some of the rejections we face are generational and we need to eliminate them from the roots, break the chain and focus on a brighter future with less baggage.

“We also need to realise we will face different kinds of rejections in our lives, but we need not dwell on them but conquer ahead.”
