Kempton Park SAPS partners with Fidelity ADT to fight crime

'We dedicate two of our vehicles and four officers to assist the special operations unit every Friday'

New developments at Kempton Park SAPS aim to reduce crime in Kempton Park.

Fidelity ADT officially partnered with Kempton Park SAPS’s special operations unit on April 5.

“We have a strong relationship with Kempton Park SAPS and always support them, but with the spike in crime, we decided to get more involved in a more sustainable way,” said Renée Basson, Kempton Park community development manager at Fidelity ADT.

Kempton Park SAPS’s Vispol operations officer, Lt Col Snothi Ndaba, Renée Basson, Kempton Park community development manager at Fidelity ADT, and acting station commander Col Alstair Subramanian officiate the partnership.

“We dedicate two of our vehicles and four officers to assist the special operations unit every Friday to increase visibility and show force. We are delighted to be able to work in conjunction with Kempton Park SAPS.”

Vispol police head and acting station commander at Kempton Park SAPS, Col Alstair Subramanian, welcomed the partnership.

“We are grateful to have such partnerships and are humbled by the concern from Fidelity ADT for the safety of the citizens of Kempton Park,” said Subramanian.

“We are privileged and encourage other external role players to follow suit so we can work together hand in glove because the police can’t work alone, nor can the community work alone. We need partnerships like these in order for us to fight crime and to ensure that the Kempton Park community and surrounding areas are safe.”
