Get ‘tekkie-tized’ with Casa Caritas

Posters are also available to use for marketing at your company or school.

Casa Caritas, a home for severely mentally handicapped people, wants Kemptonians to be mesmerised with them this Tekkie Tax Day.

“We are reliant on funds raised by campaigns such as this one. Therefore we need your help, whether it is your first time or you might be an old friend,” said Rochelle Bekker, the home’s Tekkie Tax liaison.

This year Casa Caritas is running its biggest campaign yet.

Tekkie Tax Day will be celebrated on May 31 and residents and businesses can support Casa Caritas by buying their merchandise at the home.

The following items are available:

• Hickies (elastic tekkie fasteners) for R40. This also includes your disability sticker for the day.

• Stickers of any one of the five sections: animals, bring hope, children, disability or education at R10 each.

• Tattoos at R10 each, which is a very nice new item.

• Badges at R15.

Posters are also available to use for marketing at your company or school.

“We would like to invite everybody to visit our home and meet the residents in whose lives you would make a huge difference,” said Bekker.
