Enter pramathon in Modderfontein reserve on May 5

There will be prizes for best-dressed pram, the winner of the eye spy kids competition, as well as many other prizes throughout the day.

Recent studies by the Child Mind Institute have exposed the benefit of spending time outdoors, both for children and adults.

And to make such time fun for the whole family, a pramathon will take place on May 5 at the beautiful Val Bonne Country Estate in Modderfontein Nature Reserve.

Not only will you enjoy a day out with your family and friends, but you will also support families who are less fortunate through Cotlands. Cotlands is a non-profit organisation and they believe the key to building a stronger nation is ensuring that as many potentially vulnerable children as possible have access to play-based early learning opportunities during early childhood, in a safe and nurturing environment.

All attendees to the pramathon can bring their old baby stuff for donation, and it will be distributed to families in need through Cotlands.

The event kicks off with a 3km pram walk where all older children and additional adults are welcome to join. Spectators are also welcome to book their spot on the lawn, absorb the beautiful surroundings, listen to some live music, and wonder around the hand-made goods flea market stalls filled with children’s goodies, and even some special items for adults.

One of the highlights of the day will be the Clamber Club hosted by Kids Play, experts in children’s entertainment and therapeutic movement.

There will be prizes for best dressed pram, the winner of the eye spy kids competition, as well as many other prizes throughout the day.

Each pram crossing the finish line will receive a medal.

A picnic area will be available to spread your blanket while enjoying the music, craft food, farmers style market and food. There is also a new craft brewery to explore and even book a brewery tour.

Registration starts at 8am and the pramathon will take place at 10am. Tickets for pram and pusher cost R250, adults R120, additional children 6 – 12 years R60 and kids under five are free.
