Car crashes through boundary wall of Norkem Park home

The driver allegedly skipped a stop sign.

A car accident in Norkem Park on April 5 saw to the partial collapse of a resident’s wall.

Capt Lesibana Molokomme, spokesperson for Norkem Park SAPS, said a driver did not stop at a stop sign on the corner of Bafadi Street and James Wright Avenue at around 10pm.

The driver allegedly overtook a bakkie, bumped into a different car, lost control and crashed into the wall of a house on James Wright Avenue. Pictures supplied to Express by a resident show a gaping hole in the wall, with bricks surrounding the vehicle.

“No arrests have been made, but a case of reckless and negligent driving is being investigated,” Molokomme told Express. According to him, the driver sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital.
