Free tax workshops to be held by Sars
The workshops cover different topics, including medical tax credits, e-filling for individuals and organisations and employer reconciliation.
The South African Revenue Service (Sars) invites all interested parties to a series of free tax education sessions to be held at the Edenvale branch office.
The workshops will cover different topics, including medical tax credits, e-filing for individuals and organisations and employer reconciliation.
Two workshops were scheduled for April; the learnership allowance being held on April 18 and the allowances workshops will be held on April 25.
All the workshops will be held from 9am to 11am at the Edenvale branch situated at 47 Van Riebeeck Avenue and Hendrik Potgieter Street.
Attendees are advised to arrive 30 minutes before the workshops start to allow for registration.
For May, the following workshops will be held:
• Medical Tax Credits – May 2
• E-filing for organisations – May 9
• PAYE employer obligation – May 16
• Employer reconciliation – May 23
• PAYE reconciliation on E@syfile – May 30.
June:
• Compliance for individuals – June 6
• Lumpsums – June 13
• E-filing for individuals – June 20
• VAT basic – June 27
