The City of Ekurhuleni has no idea when power will be restored to those suburbs which had been off for four days now.
Instead of power being restored overnight, Edleen residents now also have no electricity.
Other suburbs still affected are Norkem Park, parts of Birchleigh, Allen Grove, Nimrod Park, Witfontein and Glen Marais.

Themba Gadebe, spokesperson for the metro, on Wednesday morning said a panel has failed the insulation test, possibly because of residual carbon build-up in the Glen Marais substation.
“”The manufacturer of these panels is on site to rectify and assist with this and we will be proceeding with the remaining system tests. We cannot predict restoration times at this stage.”
In the meantime Kemptonians are venting their frustration on social media.
