Broken fences in the city to be mended, starting July

One such fence was damaged in an accident

A broken public fence on Isando Road, damaged in an accident on July 24 last year, is set to be repaired by the City of Ekurhuleni in July.

A resident complained to Express about the broken fence between 69 and 71 Isando Service Road, stating that a vehicle had crashed through the fence. The resident also complained that there were many broken fences due to them being cut, something that is a major security risk.

According to Ekurhuleni’s spokesperson, Themba Gadebe, the city had scheduled repairs for later in the year.

He said: “All fencing projects have been programmed for execution in the new financial year starting, July 1.”
