Race day makes dreams a reality

The Charity Mile was recently held at Turffontein Racecourse which saw 16 charities share R1-million

Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Academy was one of the beneficiaries of this year’s Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile.

The Charity Mile was recently held at Turffontein Racecourse which saw 16 charities share R1-million after being linked to 16 top-class racehorses while being publicly represented by host personalities on race day.

The training and trade test centre’s affiliated horse, Charles, finished second in the race and the academy received R100 000.

Thembisa residents Katleho Sebola and Paris Tjabadi, from the Chloorkop-based academy, will also benefit from the funds as it will assist them in their studies.
