In honour of those still in the hospice and to commemorate those who’ve died, Hospice East Rand is set to host its Candles of Remembrance event.
Set to be held on November 29 from 5pm, the event will be virtual because of the challenges associated with Covid-19.
“We invite community members to this virtual evening of remembrance, music and lighting of candles to celebrate our loved ones who have died,” said Hospice East Rand marketing and media liaison Jonquil Siepman.
“If you would like to remember someone special at this time of the year, please light a candle in your home while watching the ceremony.”
Community members can make a donation to Hospice East Rand with their own special message of hope, well wishes or fond memories.
“Your message will be displayed during the evening and listed on our Wall of Remembrance on our website.”
