BFS arrest two, recovers stolen vehicles

Dagga, crystal methamphetamine and nyaope, otherwise known as heroin, were confiscated.

The Benoni Flying Squad (BFS) members arrested four suspects in a drug bust and recovered two motor vehicles from Friday to Sunday.

W/O Grant Giblin, BFS communication officer, reported that the four were arrested around Extension Nine, Ivory Park, West Street and 9th Road in Bredell and Manzi Street in Thembisa after they were found in possession of drugs.

Dagga, crystal methamphetamine and nyaope, otherwise known as heroin, were confiscated.

“The suspects will appear in the local magistrate’s courts facing charges of possession of drugs and dealing in drugs,” Giblin said.

“Two hijacked motor vehicles were also recovered. The white Nissan NP300, left abandoned in Emphilweni Section in Thembisa, was reported hijacked on a Germiston case. A white Hyundai i20 at Ivory Park was also recovered and reported on an Ivory Park case.”
Investigation continues.
