Three armed suspects were apprehended by local security companies on Friedman Street.
This is after a group of five armed suspects approached a shop in Pascoe Avenue on Thursday afternoon.
According to Wiekus van Vollenstee from Smart Security Services (SSS), a distressed witness alerted the security company of the robbery.
Van Vollenstee said the group of armed suspects tried to escape but he went in pursuit down Friedman Street.
“Two of the suspects fired shots in my direction. I managed to apprehend a third suspect,” Van Vollenstee told Express on scene.
The other two were arrested with the assistance of John Prinsloo from SSS and Frederick van der Walt from P&C Security Services.
SAPS was summoned to both scenes on Pascoe Avenue and Friedman Street.
