“Most of my work is either written or spoken. When asked what it is I do, my immediate response would be I reach out to the world using paper, ink and my voice.

“My words are my weapons against negativity from those around me and in my heart.

“My parents separated when I was six years old. I had to go battle the psychological pain and trauma of the separation. Writing became my healing process. I used it to escape the harsh world. I fell in love with it,” he said.

His first book, Making The Impossible Possible – Sky is not the limit, there are footprints on the moon, was pioneered as a speech.

“A friend was moved by it and suggested I keep on writing, one page at a time. I kept going and with every sentence, I fell more and more in love with writing. That was in 2016,” he told Express.

“Everything I write or say is directly linked to my life. I am not ashamed to speak or write about my flaws.

“My family is quite diverse. I have both nay- and yea-sayers surrounding me. Thankfully, most of them are supportive and those who are not do so out of love.

His advice to aspiring writers is to continue pursuing their writing.

“The rewards are priceless,” said Sibanda.
