Looking after your body while on holiday

Eating well means feeding your body what it needs

It is important to look after your body, to help you stay well and healthy for as long as you can.

Many people abandon any effort to take care of themselves because it’s just too difficult.

Caring for your body makes sense. After all, you only get one body in this life and you want it to last as long as possible. Eating well means feeding your body what it needs, in the most natural way you can manage and afford. Changing how you eat doesn’t need to be an all-or-nothing thing.

Maybe you could add just an extra bit of fruit a day or swap a cup of coffee for a glass of water. Relish the food you eat and take your time. Paying attention to flavours, textures and smells, even the mechanical act of eating can soothe our bodies and re-awaken us to the sensations of being alive.

Getting enough rest is key to overall health, wellness and your ability to maintain a healthy weight.

Slow down, breathe deep and stop stressing over every gift, card and party. Whether you’re a beach bum or just running errands during the summer, you can’t be too careful protecting your skin.

Sun damage can lead to premature wrinkles, dark marks and even skin cancer over time. To protect your skin, choose a sunscreen that’s right for you. Also take other measures to protect your skin and follow a skin-healthy diet. Source: https://www.wikihow.com/Look-After-Your-Skin-in-Summer
