Wall of Remembrance: Mossie mourned by many

He founded Hinge Master Sales in Sebenza in 1989 and was well known in the truck, trailer, bus and container industry for his knowledge and success.

Christiaan ‘Mossie’ Mostert was born in Dwarskersbos, Western Cape, in 1946 and died of Covid-19 complications on January 22.

He founded Hinge Master Sales in Sebenza in 1989 and was well-known in the truck, trailer, bus and container industry for his knowledge and success.

Mossie enjoyed spending time in Mossel Bay while he was on semi-retirement with his wife Jeanette.
The sea had a special place in his heart and his family was the centre of his world, especially his wife whom he called his ‘darling’.

Mossie and Jeanette had three sons: Johan, John and Wynand. Mossie loved his grandchildren Michael, Amanda and Dean who also loved spending time with their “oupa”. Mossie and Jeanette contracted Covid-19 in December 2020.

Jeanette recovered well, but Mossie’s underlying conditions made his battle very difficult. He bravely fought until his departure.

He leaves a huge gap in the lives of his wife, children, grandchildren, friends and business friends, but his legacy still lives on.
