Model Miané (12) struts her skills in competition
“Winning Model of the Year was one of my biggest dreams,” Miané said.
Miané Lange (12) took part in the Figures National Student Model of the Year 2020 pageant and won the girls’ 10-12 skills division at the Roodepoort Theatre.
Her prize consists of a Project Aim convention package on the MSC Lirica cruise ship in December. She competed against South Africa’s and Namibia’s finest, featuring in partnering divisions such as skills, commercial and fashion.

The skills division criteria was based on a polished package of modelling that consists of the overall look, walk, feet work, graceful movements in turns and eye engagement.

Miané has been with Figures for seven years and this was her second time being placed in the top three. Now, she will have the opportunity of a lifetime to meet with 30-odd international modelling agents, in addition to South African casting agents if Covid regulations will favour the cruise.

“Winning Model of the Year was one of my biggest dreams,” she said. “Modelling has helped me to build my confidence and radiate a positive mindset. Doing modelling at Figures Kempton Park is the best thing in my life. “Now I’m confident that with hard work and dedication, anyone can accomplish all their dreams.”
