Panorama extends craft to build cattle rails

A farmer's request gave Panorama the opportunity to teach the learners new skills.

Louis Cilliers, a teacher at Kempton Panorama School, started the 2021 academic year with renewed motivation.

A local farmer approached him to build a cattle rail for his bakkie. Cilliers said this project offered him the opportunity to teach the learners new skills.

This project focused on refining welding, bending and mathematical skills. Alex Thorpe, the school’s deputy principal, is proud of the hard work and skills development taking place in the panel beating workshop at Kempton Panorama School.
