Alleged fraudster arrested in Kempton Park

The police were called to arrest a 40-year-old suspect on fraud charges.

Kempton Park police were summoned to FNB Festival Mall on the afternoon of March 3. The police were called to arrest a 40-year-old suspect on fraud charges.

“An alert employee at the bank noticed one of their clients, who had submitted documents, looked suspicious,” said Capt Jethro Mtshali, spokesperson for Kempton Park SAPS. “After thorough investigations, it was established the client had submitted fraudulent documents in an attempt to defraud the bank.”

The client, who soon became a suspect, was arrested and detained at the Kempton Park SAPS holding cells pending his appearance in the Kempton Park Magistrate’s Court.
